CHRIS EVANS makes a VIRGIN RADIO UK show from his boat with the AEQ FORUM IP console

Christopher James Evans is a popular English television host, radio DJ, businessman, voice actor, and radio and television producer

Popular British presenter Chris Evans's special relation with boats is well known, including the spectacular Snapper and Sun-Star yachts that he owns. The Motorboat magazine recently reported that Chris Evans hosted his morning show for Virgin Radio UK from his Sun-Star ship.

Chris, for the occasion, traveled part of the River Thames to the back of his garden, in Marlon, near London. Inside, all the technical equipment necessary to carry out a professional radio program was deployed, with the AEQ FORUM IP console being the heart of the installation.

AEQ FORUM IP is a mixing console designed for ONAIR broadcasting control. It incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut, faderstart, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, external communications management, intercom, etc.

With modular design and reduced size, AEQ FORUM IP adapts perfectly to different scenarios: self-control, control-booth, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations, integration in large installations, etc.

This initiative by Chris Evans has not gone unnoticed. He wanted to recover normality in the realization of his radio programs, always trying to maintain the spirit of the radio even in situations as difficult as this Covid19 pandemic with all the restrictions that it is assuming, using in this project a location as original as a ship in the middle of a river as an ONAIR studio. Given the good result of the experiment, we will keep our attention to his next radio crazy idea.
