IBC 2022 is just around the corner 07-09-2022
AEQ will be presenting XPEAK, one of its most innovative new solutions for the technical coordination of remote productions, at stand 8C55 in Amsterdam (9-12 September)
IBC Show 2022 is about to start and we can't wait to meet again in person and show you what we have been working on for the last two years. With more than 40 years of service to the broadcast and audiovisual industries, we have developed improvements and new solutions with the latest technology to respond to the changing needs that the pandemic has left us and that have become permanently established in broadcast productions.
Following the recent launch of the XPEAK Matrixless Intercom, and the great reception it received at NAB 2022, we look forward to showing the IBC audience the capabilities of the System.
This new intercom system responds to the need to produce television and radio while minimising the mobility and remote deployment of technical staff has become a reality. Production staff are now required to be able to work from different locations, some of them temporary (hotels, stadiums, etc.).
AEQ XPEAK Intercom System has been developed with technology providing the highest quality circuits interconnecting in the simplest way posible. AEQ XPEAK incorporates virtual network technology, through an automatic global interconnection Wizard. With XPEAK, you can forget about complicated communications and totally focus on the production.
XPEAK interconnectivity is very simple. It doesn’t matter whether the devices are on the same LAN network, or if they are dispersed in different places with access to Internet or to a WAN – they will all connect. This makes it very easy to set up for the coordination of remote productions.
AEQ XPEAK supports up to 28 user terminals in different formats: desktop, rack, wired belt-pack, wireless belt-pack, and PC application. All terminals interconnect with maximum operational flexibility and without the need for a matrix.
Xpeak_D desktop and Xpeak_R rackmount user panels will communicate with its peers as well as with the rest of the panels and interfaces of the AEQ Xpeak family. Its 8 4 way levers acting as 16 virtual keys facilitating their use, with functionalities of Talk-Listen and Volume.
The Xpeak_BP belt-packs have 4 cross-point keys on two pages and are PoE powered. Just as the rack-mounted and desktop panels, they have a Bluetooth and USB connection, admitting all types of headsets (headphone/microphone combinations) with these interfaces and facilitating connection with smartphones and PCs.
AEQ XPEAK supports three modes of operation: The virtual matrix mode enables the elements of the system to form a network of peer-to-peer devices with ethernet virtualization; the 4-channel Party Line mode determines which channels are to be used for communications by each User panel; and finally, Xpeak panels can work with other AEQ Intercom Systems: as Conexia or Crossnet matrixes.
All this at a very surprising price. With XPEAK, coordinating operations within a centre and from several locations at the same time, or producing events remotely, becomes very affordable, flexible and easy to configure.
