RADIO NAMAKWALAND in South Africa selects AEQ FORUM digital mixer for their new broadcasting studio

The radio station was updated with the support of the local integrator Buck Broadcast for furniture cabling and console configuration

Namakwaland is the name of an arid region in southwest Africa. This remote area extends for over 1000 km along the west coast covering an area comparable to the size of France.

Radio Namakwaland is the main radio station in the region, and like all community radio stations, its programming is diverse, mainly generalist, with a strong community involvement, extensive news programmes and dedicated blocks of local and international music.

To provide the equipment for the new Radio Namkawaland studio, the technical management commissioned the project to South African integrator Buck Broadcast who supplied all the equipment including furniture, cabling and of course the digital audio mixer AEQ FORUM as the heart of the system.

AEQ FORUM is a digital audio mixer designed for ONAIR broadcast control. It incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut, cough- cut, faderstart, signalling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, external communications management, intercommunication, etc.

With its modular design and small size, AEQ FORUM-IP adapts perfectly to different scenarios: self-monitoring, control-locutory, TV production controls, sound production, mixed configurations, integration in big installations, etc.

Simplicity and control capability combine in AEQ FORUM-IP to cover both basic and advanced operation needs, starting with a minimum control surface of 4 faders and being easily expandable up to 8 and 12 independent channels with the standard chassis and up to 20 channels with the GRAND FORUM-IP chassis.
