AFTER HAVING INSTALLED BC2000D AUDIO ROUTERS AND ARENA, FORUM & CAPITOL DIGITAL CONSOLES FOR THEIR RADIO STUDIOS, VGTRK ENHANCES ITS LINK SYSTEMS WITH AEQ PHOENIX
The All Russia Radio and Television State Company (Всероссийская государственная телевизионная и радиовещательная компания, in russian), which acronym is VGTRK (ВГТРК), is the Russian radio and television public broadcaster. It currently manages five radio stations, several TV channels, a digital TV platform and on-demand video services. It is an active member of EBU (European Broadcasting Union) since 1993.

VGTRK has always been a satisfied user of AEQ technology. Back in 2010 they initiated the installation of their central and regional offices basing on AEQ BC2000D centralized audio routing systems and AEQ ARENA, AEQ FORUM & AEQ CAPITOL mixing consoles that were installed in more than 200 studios distributed among 60 cities allover the country.
Finally, in 2016 this bet for AEQ technology has been renewed with the acquisition of many AEQ audiocodecs of the Phoenix family: STRATOS and VENUS for the main links and AEQ MERCURY for secondary ones.
These AEQ PHOENIX units are distributed across the country, but remotely controlled in a centralized way from the main VGTRK office in Moscow, thanks to AEQ ControlPhoenix remote control and configuration software.
No matter if a point-to-point connection or a large code network for a set of stations needs to be controlled: ControlPhoenix audiocodec management software provides absolute control. This application allows for automatic discovery of all Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Venus and Phoenix Studio devices within a local network, in order to coordinately control them from a PC or group of PCs. Also, Phoenix audiocodecs can be controlled through Internet, thus enabling integral management of the communications network.
The whole project has been coordinated by VGTRK Technical Manager, in collaboration with AEQ-KROMA services in Madrid and the installation department at TRACT, local partner of AEQ in Russia.
