XARXA MEDIA EQUIPS THEIR NEW RADIO STUDIOS IN BARCELONA OVER AEQ MIXERS

COM-Radio (radio division of XARXA Media Group) has updated and remodelled their central facilities in Barcelona, upgrading some audio production and radio studios with digital mixers like AEQ GRAND FORUM with 20 faders control surface, AEQ ARENA in 25faders configuration and AEQ FORUM 12faders.

COM-Radio was founded in March 1995, like a regional public broadcaster for Catalonia-Spain state, on the base of a group of local and communitary public small radio stations stimulated by Diputación de Barcelona (Barcelona Regional Government) and managed by the Consorci de Comunicació Local (public media management organization), and today COM-Radio has close to one hundred associated radio stations.

AEQ FORUM is a mixer designed for broadcast On-Air control. It incorporates all the features required in such environment: automatic monitor mute, remote mute, faderstart, signalling, control signals for external equipment automation, management of external communications using built-in digital telephone hybrid modules, intercom, etc…

With a modular design and small footprint it fits perfectly in different scenarios: self-control, control-studio, production controls for television, sound production, mixed configurations, integration in large systems, etc… Simplicity and control power are combined in the AEQ FORUM to cover both the basic and advanced operational requirements, starting with a control surface of 4 faders, it can be easily extended to 8, 12, 16 or 20 independent audio channels in fader for GRAND FORUM configuration.

New AEQ FORUM mixers are working in COM-Radio facilities in two medium-size radio studios with guests. And due their extremely silent 100% fan-less operation, AEQ GRAND FORUM units are perfect for self-control radio studios operation.

In addition inside this same XARXA project, AEQ has installed a new digital AEQ ARENA audio mixer with 25faders control surface, and also increase the size of the central router in their MCR over AEQ BC-2000D technology. This router can now interconnect all the new digital installed mixers using dedicated digital audio multichannel MADI links over optical fibber interfaces, which makes easy even in future the interconnection with other manufacturers equipments due MADI is a non-proprietary international open standard.

Complete project has been realized by AEQ's technical team moved to Barcelona for all the engineering, wiring and start-up of the project, and the inestimable collaboration of Xarxa technical staff to reduce installation period.
