At the last Broadcast 2005 show held in Madrid between Nov 15 and 18, the AEQ DR 100 Professional Recorder was given a new award: “Product Revelation of the Year”, by “Production Professional“ magazine.

This is the 4th award that the DR100 has received world-wide since its market launch
at NAB.

At Broadcast 2005 AEQ introduced the PAW 120 which will replace the DR 100 next year.

Like mobile telephones, the latest AEQ digital recorder is used in your palm and by fingers of the same hand, hence the name PAW (Palm Audio Workstation). The PAW 120 is the ultimate portable recorder for journalists who can carry it everywhere!

The PAW 120 builds on the success of the AEQ DR100 and the feedback from the hundreds of happy users.  By replacing some of the more consumer-type features of the old model, the new model is even more professional, but keeping the unit at the same convenient hand-held size.

PAW 120’s main features:
  • Built-in speaker. Aluminum case. OLED dual-color display
  • Uses two AA dry cells or rechargeable batteries
  • Appears as USB removable external device compatible with both Windows and Mac OS
  • Record and edit linear PCM and MPEG compressed audio
  • Support of BWF file format, thus easy integration into radio automation systems.
  • Internal 512 MB flash memory
  • Built-in microphone with connection for mono or stereo external microphone including phantom power.
  • Mechanical switch to activate automatic gain control (AGC).
  • VOR: voice activated recording.
